Dear everyone,

I just heard from AnneMarie that bowling does NOT have to be cancelled on this Thursday, February 14th. Because of the new machinery and lack of noise, the BOD said we could go ahead. If there are any of you who wish to join us instead of heading for Beverly and the Lucky Dog, bring your sweetie down to the club for a "hearty" drink and some laughter at around 7:15.

They also do not feel that there will be any parking problem due to the ages of the kids having the Valentine's Day dance. I had been worried about that myself and did not want to hike a mile in cold weather. Looking forward to seeing everyone------

abbreviated edition of the dart results for the last two weeks.

First up: We have secured a date for the "2nd annual CPYC Indoor Triathlon."
The date will be Sunday April 6, 2008 starting at 12:00. So mark your
calendars. Last years event was a blast, hopefully this years will surpass
it. We're still in the early planing stages so more info will follow in the
coming weeks. Keep a sharp look out for sign-up sheets etc.

Second; Next Thursday the club has rented the hall to the Winthrop High
School for a Valentines Day Dance. MTV is supposed to be there along with
200 kids. As a result, Darts and Bowling will be canceled for next week. I
thought we might try something different so I proposed my idea to a few
people last night and got favorable feedback. What I thought was this: Maybe
we should take a road trip to Janine's Bar "The Lucky Dog". They play Trivia
every Thursday starting at 7:00 which is always good for a few laughs. Being
a sports bar they have a couple of nice dart boards with electronic scoring
machines too. So if anyone wants to go we could meet at the club by 6:00 so
we get up there with plenty of time to get in on trivia. Other wise you
could drive up and meet us there. The address is 129 Cabot Street in
Beverly.

Now for the Dart Results: We've had 8 players each of the last 2 weeks. 11
shooters participated so we're getting different teams each week. The end
results as far as records go has been identical. The winning team sported a
4-1 record. Second 2-2, Third 1-2 and the forth team 0-2. Pretty consistent.
Last weeks winning team consisted of Bob Bristol and John Nalen. Last nights
winning team was yours truly Dave Winkler and Charlie Whittaker. So open up
the word attachments to see how you faired in the games.

That's all for now. Hope to see everyone next week. If not have a happy
Valentines Day.
Dave Winkler
