Hi Everyone, Looks like the floor is coming along great. It was my
understanding that the final coat of polyurethane was to be applied this
weekend the 10th and 11th. In preparation for play resuming I have purchased
some 3'X5' floor mats to lay down under the boards for bounce outs and
ware&tare. We're also going to have 3/4" X 24" Black vinyl dart line markers
with a white strip in the middle. The idea was to make them small and
inconspicuous if we could. If they don't hold up Matt Honan said he would
lightly sand the floor and paint the lines then re-polyurethane over them.
Looking ahead we hope to be able to play again this coming Thursday 2-15-07.
The following Thursday 2-22-07 we won't be able to play because the club
will be holding their annual meeting that night. I propose we play either
Wed. the 21st or Fri. the 23rd that week. Please reply with comments as to
which you prefer.

For the last 3 weeks some of us dart players have been bowling. I put a bug
in Judy Gafneys ear about my proposed "1st Annual CPYC Indoor Triathlon"
Well that's all she needed to hear. She went ahead and got approval to hold
the event on Saturday April 7th starting/signing in at 12:00. We're going
to try 48 players or 24 teams chosen at random. We hope to be finnished by
6:00PM.The Entertainment Committee is on board and be will serving food. I'm
organizing putting together score sheets and other details. Steve Machcinski
is making a flyer to hang up around the club and also be mailed with a
regular club mailing. Some people have already donated some prizes. What we
need now are a few volunteers to help psyche up the competition from the
various leagues, Pool, Darts & Bowling. This looks like it could be a fun
event. Please help make it so.
See you all down the club.
