My trip home took an extra 10 mins....Joe Thomas was thinking of going
to darts instead of home in Reading... But didn't. I got home picked up
my English guest, kieth, went to East Boston and had Brazilian
food...looking forward to a quiet game of darts...but as we turned into
the CPYC lot ...alas the club was shut.

Joe in the mean time stayed in Southie went up to the Stadium bar...then
went to Shenanigan's for dinner and drove leisurely home at around 8pm.

Are we thinking of doing anything for this Thursday food wise? ( Joe
asked?)

What a wuss??? Is that what your trying to say :-) I don't get mad...I
get even...See you on the boards next week!!!LOL Seriously though. I'm
sure you heard all the horror stories about yesterdays commute. Here's
my personal experience. I left work at 3:25. Made it through the TED
with no problem...then hit a wall of cars not moving. I think I'm smart
and will take the surface road through Southie. Well traffic was stopped
on the bridge by the Peninsula YC. That should have been my first
reminder that things weren't going well. So I think as long as I can get
to the next light I'll be OK...WONG! I make the light and all's clear
till I get the the South Boston YC. Then the S**t really hit the fan. It
took me
1:45 to get to the Expressway (about 2 miles). Once on the expressway
speed was about 5 MPH. After the Braintree split speed increased to
about 20. Once I got on RT-24 speed was about 30. All told it took me 4
hours to travel the
25 miles home.
Now if I could walk home like some "Name callers" can. I would have been
down the club having a few cool ones myself. Instead I plowed my 2
driveways for 2 hours and finally sat down to relax at 10:00.
So there you have it.
Dave
PS. So tell me Steve...Did you play!
