[Darts]Upcoming Dart season

Between us ... There was an issue..I'm not sure who brought it up ...
But I was asked ( by the board?)to talk to Harvey about the amount of
time he spent down at the club. It was suggested that he join the club.
The cost would be quite substantial and would not bring any benefit that
he already has a right to. As a member of the WYC he has reciprocal
rights to use the pilot house and facilities and some other things. I'm
not sure what the rules are about "club" functions such as the bowling
league, sailing programs and other functions. You should be a member

We play darts for fun we don't play between clubs and it is something
that just started up. The club doesn't finance the playing but allows
us to use the facilities. It's a fun thing. I may bring down friends
or relatives to play.

I'm not sure if I'm explaining myself correctly...but that's all I meant
by this. I don't want someone to say that if someone comes down as a
guest (maybe not as a reciprocal club member) that they may be asked to
join the club.

Please don't be bothered and we can talk when we're down at the club.

Stephen

Hi Steve, Please don't take this the wrong way. Your statements
(Non-Club & not a CPYC organized team play) bother me a little. I always
thought our dart fun was sanctioned by the club and is organized. It's
posted in windjammer and on flyers around the club. I believe we
purchased and maintain the house darts. We do provide needed Pilot
House income on Thursday nights. I have posted to the CPYC mailing list,
etc. Could you please explain where that came from? I'm not trying to
start a fight or get anyone in trouble it just concerns me. Maybe I'm
too sensitive or protective of our little game.

I always knew guests should sign in. The club in general has been a
little lax overall in that regard. Is this the reason for your
clarification? Would our dart sign in sheets suffice for the sign in
book in the pilot house? I have and keep all copies from last year if
anyone wants to review who was down the club when and how often. The
other thing we could do is ask everyone who signs in to write their
member number next to their name. That way we could keep track of who's
a member and who's not. I strive to know everyone but that is not always
the case.

I think we will keep the Thursday night gig going for now. But I'm open
for suggestions.

Thanks
Dave
